Membership details
The alliance is governed by a united body of youth representatives from each of its member churches (one per church). This group, (united) as one, will be the planning and deciding body for all endeavors of the group’s objective. No hierarchy was made to establish equality for all youth representatives.
From this group, one will be voted as Secretary-General who is tasked to moderate the planning, alliance objective directions and other decisions of the group. The Secretary-General has the ‘double-say’ or the final approval for mere purpose of concluding the alliance’s goals. In light of this, the church in which the representing youth leader gets appointed, earns the privilege of having another youth rep for the group. Thus, the represented church will have one Secretary-General and one representative.
A Secretary is also appointed to help with the coordination of the decisions, and Advisers, (starting with two from the day of its organization) are tasked to oversee the directions of the alliance. Membership policies (for other churches who were absent in the organization) will be discussed as the planning goes on.
FAQ’s (Frequently-asked-questions) NEW!
Q: Can representatives be replaced just in case our rep for a certain meeting/transaction is not available?
A: of course, yes. Also, in occurences when a representing church sees fit to have a change of representative, they can do so, just inform the alliance ahead of time
Q: What is the priority of the Alliance?
A: As stated in the objective, it is to strengthen the “fellowship” of the member church’s youth groups. This is through its collaborated events and other activites that is shared by the same kindred spirit
Q: Is it a separate entity to the local church?
A: defintiely NOT. We as Bible-believing Baptists believe in the locality of the church. And the alliance is merely a fellowship of its youth members. It should be well noted that priority will always be given to our respective local churches. As part of the agreement, anything that the alliance discusses must first have the approval of all members and pastors of all representing churches, before execution. This comes in respect to the governing body of each baptist churches (it could taxing, but the right way is the proper way).
